Ben Lesser was born in Krakow, Poland in 1928. He had two brothers and two sisters. Ben survived Auschwitz, Buchenwald, and was liberated in Dachau. In 1947, Ben arrived in the United States and settled in Los Angeles where he met and then married his wife Jean. They had two daughters. He is the founder and CEO of the Zachor Holocaust Remembrance Foundation.
